Kids nowadays are like geniuses.  I am thinking that generations get better as the planet spins and time passes by.  When I was in my elementary years, there were not so many talent shows featuring kids except one or two which did not showcase raw talent anyway  – they are always scripted back then.  Now, it seems that parents of these kiddie contestants do not even know how these kids came to be. Try seeing the look in some of their faces.

My nephew is one of those I consider child geniuses.  But instead of doing some crazy stunts or belting out those terribly high notes, he has a talent for anything electronic.  He is turning nine years old now, but when his mother bought him a Samsung cellphone two years ago, he didn’t have to read the Samsung manual.  He must’ve learned how to use it just by watching his parents do it with their phones of different brands.  Another thing that puzzles me is his ability to call the Samsung mobile help number whenever he encounters problems with his phone – all by himself!  Wow, kids are truly getting wiser these days.

Just last week, I went to visit my favourite aunt and got to see my nephew not only having his very own phone but also his very own Apple Mac.  I was thinking that my aunt must’ve been crazy to give such a young child these tools but then again, I wouldn’t be surprised to see my nephew teaching his mother how to troubleshoot these things in  a few months.  Given his caliber, I hope he would grow up to be a somebody some day – somebody who could contribute something for the greater good of everybody.
